Why belittle his job. Many truckers make six figures.

Also where? Most ppl in that profession have cash flow, but if you own your own truck your usually robbing Peter to pay Paul as they say to pay for fuel, replace tires, parts, not to mention tax time and home bills
It's a good way to make a living, it's just not easy

If you don't find anyone, I have a friend who's a trucker. I could ask him if he'd be interested in talking with you :)

I do this because I love driving, not for money. I'm out for 3 to 4 month at time. I live out of a ice box having trouble with finding right food to carry on truck.

My father was a long haul, cross Canada truck driver as well as a log truck driver for most of his life. Until I was in my teens, I only saw him 25 out of every 30 days. It is an honourable, respectful, and thankless job.... but 6 figures is laughable. In a lot of cases, not even half that. I grew up well below middle class.
My husband is a long-haul trucker, he has an MFP account but he doesn't use the forums.

It is a hard job, most people have no idea. And it pays nowhere near six figures, lol!

Here's an article that speaks about truckers making good money. There are some interesting comments in the comments section.

One of the guys I know, he transports hazardous wastes across miles. He received special training for it and he makes six figures.

Disclosure: I used to research some truck companies because I briefly invested in a few truck firm equities.

There is alot of variables at hand. Family business is for hazmat ( hazardous materials), pulling tanker. And from my experience I can say 6 figures isn't even in the ball park. We have our own contracts and don't have to compete for the most part bc it is a dying career. Most companies are using rail car to transport this only needing a spotter in the yard to off load. It's a very under appreciate and under payed job.
