Looking for advice

Hi! I am 64 and sedentary. My goal is to get back to a much healthier weight. I would like to lose at least 30 kg, roughly 60 Ibs. I started some modest walking and using the fitbit food diary five days ago and have been stunned to see the weight melting away. I realize the loss will not keep up at this rate, but I am determined to keep this going until I succeed.

I need advice about the calorie and nutrition balance. Does it matter if I am under my calorie quota, but slightly exceed individual nutrients, such as fat or sugar, on a given day?

You won't get it all right on straight away it takes time, itsgood to get your protein in and keep the bad fats and salt down, it will all come together, as long as you don't go too much below your calories that's ok, you will find that MFP will not let you complete your diary ifit istoo lowand will show a warning. Good luck to you.
