Hi!
So I try to eat clean, I love to run, I love HIIT and I used to love anything involving a squat rack and the heaviest weights I could manage ... until I popped a disk in my lumbar spine wide open! I'm just getting back into the gym and running again, slowly. I hope to get back into strength training one day. Yet every time I glance over at the squat rack, my brain glitches inducing nano paralysis. I fear that one day I may become selectively blind to specific articles in the gym!
I'd love to connect with people here. Never used the community boards before. So, if you are also getting over an injury, have gotten over one, are avoiding one or you're just a cool person also looking to connect, please add me or comment :).
Best wishes !

I'm not much of a runner, but I became one after recovering from a simultaneous ankle sprain and leg break 2 years ago, and have 10 5K's booked for this year so far.

As far as squats go, you might want to look into different variations. Skip the squat rack for now. Goblet squats or bulgarian splits may be a good way to get back into them, and you can move into front squats as you increase weight.

Wow! I've never heard of someone taking up running after a leg break. That must've taken courage. Awesome!

Goblet squat sounds like a good move. Thanks ! I'm thinking maybe TRX single legs too since I need to focus on my core.
