I'm new. Any suggestions would be great!

Hi, my name is Melisse, I've been fat (sorry i don't mean it in an offensive way) pretty much all my life or at least since I was around 8. That's when I started to get chubby. I think it's about time I drop some pounds because Diabetes runs in my family and that's no fun. I know this is going to be a hard journey because I love food, but I can do it!!! I think the hardest part for me would be ..bread I LOVE bread. and I've got hypoglycemia I always get sick if I don't eat something after a while i get shaky, are there any of you who know any helpful tips? I would appreciate them a lot!!

Anyways I should maybe tell you something about myself, I love music, I'm an artist, starwars, Fable 1,2,3 , Skyrim are my thing and I love to cook!!! If you've got good recipes to add for losing weight that taste awesome you should share some with me!!! :)

Take it one step at a time. Losing weight can be overwhelming .... so many changes. Give yourself time to adjust. No one is perfect right out of the gate. Just do better today than you did yesterday ... and you will make progress.

    1. Log your food ..... some things you are eating now are great ..... other things not so much. Logging will help you figure things out. For me, no food is completely off limits. I view this as a lifestyle change.

    2. Move more ..... if you don't exercise now, don't start something crazy hard .... you might injure yourself .... or at the very least you may burn out. My favorite starter workout is Walk At Home exercise DVDs by Leslie Sansone.... I love these because you can modify them Up or Down. Here's a video clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rnB9rDRrCM

Recipes ...... cookinglight.com & skinnytaste.com have lots of good recipes.

Good luck on your journey. You're already on the right track ..... because you're here.
