Recording exercise calories?

Hey guys,
Which do you log for exercise calories? My bike says 130 for 15 mins but if you type in stationary bike in mfp the calorie amount is much much higher for 15 mins? I assume it's the equipment you are on that you take note of?
Thanks

I rely on a heart rate monitor as I've found it to be most accurate. Perhaps take both measures and get the average of the 20

Are you using the "general" stationary category?
Or one of the five categories that attempt to estimate your effort level?
Beware that the feeling of effort is more related to how hard it feels rather than actual calorie burns which is down to fitness and power produced.
Exercise bike estimates vary enormously from extremely accurate (using power meters typically) to wildly inaccurate and exaggerated. But at least it will be in proportion to your effort even if not actually accurate.0 -
I usually log half of what the machine is telling me, and then I'll feel confident in eating those back. If I'm not on a machine, I log whichever entry seems applicable, but again just half.0
