Macronutrients

I just read a forum post about someone learning about macro's it's really helped their weight loss, can anyone give me any advice on the topic?

    Macros are listed on your food diary next to calories. They are: protein, fat, carbs,sodium, and sugar. Some people track other things on here like-fiber. They help your weight loss by keeping you full, if you eat the right combination. MFP gives you a daily alotment for each one based on your total calories. Many people up their protein and that helps them stay full, especially if they're exercising heavily.
