Hi, I am new to trucking calories, not sure how it works and if it is worth doing, but I need to loose weight for sure. 10-20 pounds or may be even 30. Would be nice to have some guidance. I walk a lot and do yoga, but do not have access to a gym, so I hope to lose weight by walking or jugging may be. I have a couple of dumbbells, though not using them currently. So far I out-walked my Garmin walking goals every single day, sometimes as much, as by 202%.

I lost the first 10-20 pounds of my weight loss just getting my 10,000 steps every day and doing yoga regularly, so it's certainly doable without access to a gym. Tracking what you eat and holding yourself accountable is absolutely necessary, though. And while walking is good for burning fat, muscle is what burns calories while you're not working out and is what helps maintain weight loss long term, so finding ways to add strength training will only help you in the long run—you can find free workout videos online or at the library that use lightweight dumbbells, to get some strength training in, in addition to yoga.1

Weight loss is a result of eating less calories than you burn.
Many people do very little, or no exercise, and lose weight.
80% eating less calories 20% exercise, but some an even higher percent for weight loss, and a lower percent for exercise.
Eat less calories than you burn, weigh and log EVERYTHING you eat and drink accurately.1
