Waist Trimmer and Heart Rate Monitor Help!

I just bought a waist trimmer and wore it this morning during my workout. I also wear a Garmin heart rate monitor during my workouts that syncs to my Vivofit.

What's the likelihood of the waist trimmer interfering with my heart rate monitor and sending an inaccurate heart rate to my Vivofit? My heart rate and burned calories were a lot lower this morning than they usually are, and I'm not sure if wearing the waist trimmer is why.

if it bumps it, maybe. Your waist trimmer is just as effective crumpled on the floor of your bedroom as it is around your waist though, so.

Not sure what you're hoping to gain by using the waist trainer, but extra weight loss is not gonna happen from it. I would just ditch it (and really, it just seems so uncomfortable too, I mean you've already got a bra, and a heart rate monitor strap, why another uncomfortable layer?) and then no worries about it interfering with the HRM signals!

Yeah, I agree you don't need a waist trimmer. My mom likes hers to look better in her clothes without dieting, but I'm not sure why you would wear it working out. Sounds really uncomfortable and if it's too tight could even interfere with breathing. If your HRM is not in full contact with your skin in will not be able to read your HR. I get this problem with a longline sports bra I have.
