Hello everyone

I'm a type one diabetic, my motabalism is crazy high, I don't have the best control always, hence why I want to join the gym and build. I am weighing in around 140lbs, but want to bulk up. I need to be eating 2800cals a day, but don't know where to start really. One of the main things I want to find out is what protein shakes are best to get for a diabetic. ✌

I'm afraid to say your metabolism probably isn't as quick as you think. If you want to gain muscle, eat in a calorie surplus and lift weights.

If you only need 2800 calories, your metabolism is not that fast. Most of guys in this group maintain around 2800-3200. I would probably recommend having a good conversation with a dietician that can give you specific foods, but you should have moderate protein, high fat (nuts, cheeses, fish, fatty cuts of meat), high fiber and limit carbs to mainly low GI/low sugars ones. If you are looking to gain a bit of mass, I would have a solid lifting program (which can be found in this link) and I would potentially time some of your carbs/protien to be around your workout and get the bulk of your fat in other meals. The most important thing you need to do is keep in a consistent surplus to provide your body the energy to grow.
