When my Nana was senile my grandpa told her Canadian Tire money was the real stuff. So maybe your wife believes that. And you can usually donate it at Canadian Tire...why do they still make that stuff?

I "met" my wife online....many, many years ago, before there were dating sites or anything like that. We both used to comment in the same Usenet group, and I would always mess with her with Canadian stereotypes. She would get worked up when I would mention Canadians saying, "eh". Claim that neither she, nor anyone else in her family said eh. Well, after a year or so of this, two people from that group got married and decided to have the wedding in New Orleans (good thing, as I probably wouldn't have gone if it was somewhere else). Since it was my hometown, I offered to pick people up at the airport and bring them to their hotel rooms. When my wife gets off her plane, what's the first thing she ever says to me in person? "Geez, it's *kitten* hot, eh?"

I've been picking on Canada ever since, so please don't take me seriously.

I just buy stuff with my crappy tire card, so the money is tagged to my account and I don't need to worry about the paper bills.

There used to be a sub shop in my neighborhood that took it at half face value.
