My brother died yesterday. He was only 38. His health was very bad. He was morbidly obese and could barely walk because of it. He was on a breathing machine. From my understanding, his body gave out while he was sleeping and he just... stopped.

I'm not in that deep but I am in the morbidly obese category. I'm on the verge of being a diabetic. I had already started this journey and I've lost 14 pounds so far. I'm doing this for me... but now I want to do it for him, too. He always struggled and could never seem to get his weight down. I want to dedicate this to him. I'm just hoping I can stay strong and get through this.

Sorry for the venting. I'm still trying to process. What I'm looking for is supportive friends that have gone through this. I need to do this for the both of us. I need to stay strong. Even people that are really active logging will help me out.

Thanks for your time.

I'm not obese, I haven't lost anyone to obesity, I'm not even particularly active (in terms of exercise), but I have lost someone who had no business dying suddenly and unexpectedly and wanted to say that I am so very sorry for your loss.

Congratulations on your weight loss so far, that's a great achievement. Be kind to yourself while you are grieving but keep your focus.
