    My Dad was in the Air Force. But would only say that he was on K.P. duty, or talking on the radio. But, at his funeral, the military was there. 4 or 6 of them. They shot the guns off. And they also gave us a flag, after they folded it into a triangle.
    I always wondered, if he kept some of what he did private. And not even tell us. I kept a bullet shell. But then he went into farming for many years, with his Dad and brothers. Vineyards, tree fruit, almonds.

    My daddy was a rocket scientist. Literally. In Apollo 13 where the guy dumps the box of stuff on the table and says "Make this fit this". My dad was one of those guys.
