Does too much sodium slow weightloss?

It can make you retain water, which can mask fat loss. But no, it does not hinder fat loss.0

Other than water retention some folks have medical issues like hypertension, sodium can be a problem for us. If that's a problem check out the DASH diet.0

I'm 500g over mfp's sodium goal today, so i can expect an unpleasant number on the scale tomorrow morning, but it's just water retention and it'll be gone by the next day.0

Just ensure you are drinking A LOT of water if your sodium is high.1
