Hi, all! I'm down 25 lbs since I started back on Oct 30th. Got about another 89 to go, but MFP is working for me!

I'm kosher and vegetarian, living in Toronto.

In September I contracted cellulitus, which led to lymphedema, which led to months of homecare nurses coming to change dressings on my calf for a wound which would not heal. A referral to a vascular surgeon gave me a diagnosis of refluxed veins causing poor lower-body circulation. Now that the wound has healed, I'm in compression stockings and I've been advised that getting down to a healthy weight is one of the best things I can do (besides the stockings) to manage this condition.

I'm basically sedentary, but I try to get out for a walk every day. When I can't, I have a (very old and basic) treadmill and a Nordic skier.
