Help,slightly computer illiterate

I'm very new to this,and cannot for the life of me figure out how to view msgs ppl have sent me...3 times now I've had a friend request,and not been able to read the msg;any tips?

    Are you on a phone or the website? I think you only see friend requests on the website on your home page, so not on the community page. On the phone it will be the bell in the top right hand corner.

    Phone...I can see the requests,and the 1st few words of the msg,but that's it

    The phone apps are great for logging your food, but have limitations.
    - log in on a regular PC to view the full messages
    - instead of using the app, open a browser on your phone and log in.

    The app can be pretty overwhelming for people new to the app and those not so hot with IT, but after a few weeks you'll get used to it and be a pro. I'd recommend just playing around in the app to see how things work and what features it offers.
