Eating the calories you burn

Is it okay to eat back the calories/carbs I burn that MFP says I still have left for the day? This is when I go the gym and put in my exercise and MFP says I have ____ calories remaining.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes, that's how mfp is designed.
However the estimate is usually high so most only eat back 50-75%.2 -

Yep. MFP wouldn't give them to you If they didn't want you to eat them. Enjoy!2

I use those extra calories as a bit of a "buffer", especially if I'm working out extra hard. It's difficult for me to stay at the MFP recommended calorie deficit and still have enough energy for a good workout. If I go over a little bit by eating back a portion of the exercise calories, then all is good.
I shoot for eating back about 50% because I think MFP tends to overestimate the calorie burn.0 -
