I have a home multi gym. It has a low row attachment at floor level. It's a cable machine, so attaching a cuff or bar, can pull the weights plates by resistance.
I attach a straight bar to the floor attachment and lift from a squatting position, until standing, and lower the weights to the floor again.
Is that a cable deadlift, or a squat????? I have no idea and these gyms come with no instructions.

Kind of depends on your form and what muscles you're using to pull with. Pulling up would be more of a deadlift, but I've also seen people do bottom weighted squats with a cable.1
