How long do you plan to stay on this diet? And if you can't sustain the same type of eating patterns you do with them, then weight regain will happen.
How much can you do on your own without them? Check the labels for a possible change in artificial sweeteners.

It is something I have to maintain as far as low carb. It is monitored well. It has switched to steevia sweetner. It is a diet that also transitions also. You don't just m
aintain this phase forever. I will reintroduce meals after a certain goal point with healthy low carbs. But I will never be able to have many carbs in my diet. That is just a life long thing for me. It is something I am use to. I am just getting back into shape after alot of set backs I have been through. Being insulin resistant if I were to eat carbs as a normal person did on even weight watchers I'd gain weight. This is a life style more so than a diet. I just have to do the extreme part because I let myself go far too long and now I have to put in the time and work to get where I should be.

It sounds like you are doing what you need to do for YOUR life. Good luck. I haven't started yet, but have my Dr appointment coming up. Everyone doing New Direction knows that it's a lifetime behavior change that we need to do to maintain. My Bariatric physician has a maintenance phase that goes over 5 years. the thought behind it is that if you can maintain your weight loss for 5 years, you can continue to maintain long term. And if you have a set back, they are available for counseling and assistance to get back on track.

NinerBuff, just because you don't think it's a good decision for weight loss doesn't mean that it is a bad decision for everyone. We all have different issues and some of us need more physician assistance than others. In my wine business we have a saying, "don't yuck someone elses yum." In other words, just because this weightloss program isn't for you, don't bash it to others.

Ninerbuff is just making sure you have an exit plan.

I know for me I went on so many diets lost weight then regained it because I learned zero about how to eat to maintain weight loss.

Asking questions is not bashing something. She wanted this person to think about the long term sustainability and possibly consider other options that might be sustainable long term if this plan isn't sustainable for OP.
