Ok I'm big (238lb big) but I have always been strong and relatively fit i.e. Running regularly, sit ups and press ups were no problem - but in the last 2 years I've changed my job and have had a tummy tuck and have been "recovering" this evening my girls were pissing about and asked how to do a press up so I thought I would get down and show them.... I couldn't... *kitten*.... when did that happen... I'm not sure where to start to get back to where I was and am slightly mortified that I've gotten here without noticing.... I spent so long finding myself and being the ninja that I wanted to be that when I stopped I'm no longer that person and am gutted :( when did you notice that your not what you thought?

Change the angle. You can do that by raising where your hands are position compared to your feet, so putting your hands on a stable chair or on a steps so they are higher than your feet. Doing so reduces the difficulty similarly to doing them from your knees rather than with your legs straight.

when i moved house. i'm not saying i didn't do most of it on my own, but damn. i had spent my whole life thinking i was sturdy for a 'girl' [according to men who've actually experienced more women than just me hugging them and suchlike, i wasn't kidding myself either). but i get to late 40's and it looks like stuff happens . . . and stuff.

there was this one specific experience of toting something awkward one block to the goodwill box that was probably my main wakeup call.
