What do you know about adrenal stress and not being able to lose weight? No matter what I have done in the last year and a half to lose the weight I can't. Someone told me it might be my adrenal glands

I don't doubt that you're stressed, but honestly? It's really much, much more likely that you weren't logging your food correctly or were overestimating your exercise or activity level. If you get a food scale and try weighing your food for a few weeks you'll likely start to see some progress.2

Adrenal fatigue is a real condition. Maybe talk to your doctor about it?
What are you doing in regards to your diet?2 -

Brain fog moment. See sidesteels explanation below.2 -
What are your other symptoms, and have you been to a doctor about them? Most people don't have the first clue about thus condition, but use it as a "maybe" diagnosis to explain their weight problem and take the blame off of themselves. ( that's aimed at your friend. Not you.)0

Adrenal fatigue is not a real condition.
It's a fake condition largely peddled by hucksters to try and sell you detoxes. The symptoms people experience are indeed REAL, but the diagnosis called adrenal fatigue is not recognized as an actual condition.
HOWEVER:
Adrenal insufficiency and Addison's disease are indeed real conditions, but these things can be properly tested and diagnosed.

If you had a physiological issue with your adrenal glands such as adrenal insufficiency you would likely experience weight loss as a side effect rather than lack of weight loss.
That being said, if you have additional symptoms that are concerning, I would see a doctor to get checked out, just to be safe.

^ This is correct in many people. Obviously if you are concerned with your health or showing any other symptoms I would consider seeing your regular doctor.0 -

I am exercising 4 to 5 times a week. Counting calories and carbs, I am a diabetic.2
