How can I start losing weight again after Xmas?

Hi All.
Before xmas, I hit 14 stone. I lost 3 stone 10lbs in a little under 7 months with the odd day or 2 here and there when I gave into my cravings.
I was losing weight steadily. It slowed when I passed 15 stone but the scales were still going down.
For xmas, I spent a week and a half not fully committed to counting what I ate, but I was still consciously watching what I ate, i.e an extra scoop of carrots with the xmas dinner... as well as the roast potatoes and pigs in blankets. I knew I was going to put a bit of weight on, but I though I deserved it after 7 months of healthy eating. I was right, I put on 3lbs. I was quite happy with that actually, I thought it was going to be more.
Anyway. Im back in watch what you eat mode now and Im fully committed to it. Im doing exactly what I was doing before xmas, and logging everything I eat in the my fitness pal app. The problem is, my scales arent moving. Its been over 2 weeks now, and my scales keep coming in at 198 or 199 lbs
So my question is... Why are my scales not moving? Is this normal after a period off? Is there anything else I should/could be doing?

I put on 5 pounds over Christmas after steadily losing about 50 pounds over 5 months. It came off after 2-3 weeks of logging and sticking to the budget.1

sometimes for me to get the scale moving again, I shake up my diet a bit...lean it out with just lean proteins, fruits and veggies OR add something back in (like healthy fats)...drink more water, be diligent about your weighing and tracking your food. Good luck and welcome back!0
