I have a very bad and disastrous habbit of eating raw rice. Though I am well aware of the of the consequences as well, still I am not able to get rid off it. Does anyobe have any suggestions or rants about the same? Also I invite you all to share your bad habbits related to eating.

Why is it bad to eat raw rice?1

I too have a bad habit of eating raw oatmeal! Did the other night (way too much and felt -and looked like - I was about to give birth the next day.)
I guess a 'bad habit' is like anything else...substitute it with something else and over a period of time, it will be done. (and just get rid of it for now and not have it in the house)1 -
I keep reading the title as "Bad eating hobbits."3

I don't even think raw rice would taste good?!?
When ever you get the itch to eat raw rice drink some tea or chew gum.0 -

What's wrong with raw oats? I eat raw oats all the time, mixed with yogurt or sometimes milk, with fruit and nuts. Like muesli. Oats in granola are essentially raw (whatever cooking is involved is really just enough to make whatever sweetener is being used melt and then cool to hold the clusters together).2 -

Grains contain phytic acid - unsoaked grains (rice included) bind to it making it hard for necessary nutrients getting absorbed when digesting the grains. Leads to deficiencies over time. I suppose every once in a while it would be fine to do so though.3
