Weight loss and health

I thought when you lost weight and got healthier you would start to eliminate or lessen health issues.
Well not with me it would seem, with the 80 lbs I have dropped I seemed to have got the flip side of the coin. My chiropractor sent me for some x-rays last week and noticed that some of my vertebra are starting to fuse together which could be a reason for the slight hump in my back that became more evident with my weight loss. Now there is two different possibilities of what it could be. One is Scheuermann's disease and the other is Ankylosing spondylitis but I won't know for sure until I have blood work done whenever I can get a family doctor or a nurse practitioner. Now I am stuck in limbo for the time being.

End of my rant.

I'm sorry that you are dealing with this condition.
Although I would not wish this upon anyone, it is better for you to have less weight strain on your back.
In general, it will be healthier for your heart, lungs, bones and joints.
Sadly, it isn't going to change the condition of your fused vertebrae.

Hopefully, you and your chiropractor can develop a treatment plan that will allow you to live your life to the fullest with the least amount of discomfort.
