Why 12 weeks? Lifting tends to become a lifelong pursuit, so this strikes me as odd.3

I'm a newbie in this. I started my journey about a month ago. Gawd, did I hate cardio! The only reason I started lifting weights is that I hated cardio. Now I'm addicted to lifting weights. I notice every day I'm gaining strength and my body shape is shifting. I've never felt this good before2
