How accurate is it? My steps were 8000 and it says 500 cals burned. I did 40 mins walk around my local mall which is around 1km per lap so I did 2 but that said 180 cals. I just added 150 cals in my exercises.

    I never thought their calorie counting was arcuate. I found they didn't account for the calories you burn just by being alive so they were always overestimated for me.

    I wouldn't put a ton of stock into it. Also consider that even a sedentary activity setting would account for some of those steps...if I recall, sedentary still accounts for around 5,000 steps (or equivalent activity)
