Two weeks into this new journey and doing well so I planned a lovely home cooked menu for today (including dessert) and discovered it was going to take me over my 1200 cal allowance. Went for a nice long bike ride around my local lake (ticker pic) with my daughter and now I'm not only on track again but I even have 111 extra calories to eat back if I feel like it (which I won't after steak with mushroom sauce and veges followed by banana pudding)!

This could actually work long term...who knew?!

That's the trick of course, sticking to it. If all exercise was as pleasurable as cycling in the sun with my 12yr old (who any moment now won't want to hang out with her mother at all) I'd never have got 20lbs overweight in the first place!

Fantastic! It's great when everything just sort of "clicks." We can eat more...if we move more! If we're feeling lazy, no problem. Our bodies need less fuel, so we give it less fuel.

It definitely works! Happy for ya :)

Sure is. I'm very lucky to live in a beautiful town in a beautiful country, and need to remind myself of that as incentive to get out there and enjoy it.
