Any skinny people like me who want to get stronger?

I've been skinny for just about all of my life and I'm looking to put on a decent amount of muscle and get stronger. I would go to the gym, but I'm pretty insecure about my skinniness, so I do bodyweight training at home instead. There was quite a bit of confusion in my mind about whether it's possible to grow muscle at a caloric deficit or maintenance level and I stuck with either of the two for most of the two years that I've been working out. I've since moved onto eating at a caloric surplus, but I'm concerned about putting on too much fat.

One day, I hope to be able to do things such as handstands and the planche. I'm not trying to look like a bodybuilder or anything. Achieving a balance between strength, flexibility and motor control is what I'm after. My full story is in my profile, if you have the time.

Even though I talked about being skinny, requests from anyone are welcome. Maybe we can share our thoughts and offer ideas and suggestions. And just a heads-up: I'm not really a "like" sort of guy as I prefer to leave comments. So if you don't see many "likes" or comments from me, it's not because I'm ignoring you. I just can't think of anything worthwhile to say.
