I want to lose 40 pounds this year

Hi All, I am 38 years old and a mom of 2 who has gained weight over the last 5 years and just sort of ignored it. I really feel like my metabolism has slowed down because I haven't had a weight problem before (pretty much stayed in the 120-130 range), but now I realize I need to pay more attention to my eating habits and do something about this extra weight that is making me self-conscious. My ultimate goal is to reach 115 pounds. It would be great to have a couple of buddies with similar goals.

    I truly understand! I've been rather thin most of my life but I just had baby number 4 and unlike other times, the weight didn't melt away. I have been reduced to actually working hard for a pound or two here and there. If you'd like you can add me

    I also want to lose the same amount of weight this year. My weight normally hovered around 130lbs but with more responsibilities at work I spent more time at my desk and less time exercising. Over 4 or 5 years I just got more....fluffy (this is the word my husband and I use haha). I would like to trim down to about 130lbs again this year. I've lost some weight already, but I would like to continue with it. I decided this year to train for a longer distance triathlon and trimming down for the race is something I would really like to do.
