    So.......you would have run 2.75km (1.71 miles) and walked 1.5 (.93 miles)

Running burns .63 x weight in lbs x distance in miles and walking burn .30 x weight in lbs x distance in miles (I'm too lazy to convert to metric)

Although Brian is right, 15 minutes @ 11kph is 2.75 km (I get 1.65 miles) and 15 minutes @ 6kph is 1.5 km (.9 miles) . They add up to 4.25 km and you covered only 4km.

Thus one of the problems we have with estimating our calorie burns. Imprecise data. Also not sure if " with heart rate at height 180" is you heart rate through out, or your weight.

I suggest, since we are really just guessing here, you take your distance 4km (2.4 miles) and treat it as just walking. You maybe under estimating your burn, but that would be better than over estimating and not getting your calorie deficit, if that is your objective.

Therefore: 2.4 miles* .3(the walking conversation)* your weight in pounds= under estimated calorie burn. Eat most of these back. You should still have a deficit as you under estimated your workout burn.

You could go with Brian, knowing that your total distance is incorrect: (1.65*.63* weight in pounds)+(.90*.3* weight in pounds)=Calorie burn. Most here would suggest eating only half these back.

Assuming your weight at 150 pounds... the walking only total (assuming 4.25 km {2.55 miles just to keep both the same}) is 114; the half and half total is 195.

So much for math. Did you enjoy the walk/run? That's all that counts, It'll keep you coming back.
