100.000 calories to burn

After losing ~9 pounds in just 17 days, I realised I'm not doomed to be fat forever and I can actually change it. So, after doing some math, I aim to lose 27 pounds, which would be 94,000 calories to burn, but I rounded them at 100,000 because I like rounded numbers. I have an app called Thing counter, you can increase or decrease certain numbers by tapping on them, after you label them. So I made an increasing label, 'Leslie miles', for each Walk with Leslie mile I do, and a decreasing one, 'calories to burn', with 100,000. I know they are not 100,000 because of my BMR, and I also burn calories by cooking and cleaning up in the house, but big numbers motivate me, so I'll start counting tomorrow, even if today I burned over 500. Wish me luck!

You burn calories just by being alive too. Not every calorie has to be burned in the gym.

9 pounds in 17 days that's amazing! I'm only on week one and haven't had a weigh in yet but fingers crossed it will be a loss!

That would be extra calories that need to burned, in addition to what's needed to maintain, which is more than BMR. Not all these calories must be earned through extra burn, eating that many fewer calories would accomplish the same result.. Good luck on your journey, regardless of how you choose to accomplish it!

My goal is to burn 300,000 calories on a bicycle this year, but my plan is not to lose weight while doing it.

In one stint? ;) according to MFP calorie burns that's only about 5 hours.

If that's all, I should be able to knock it out by the end of the day.

Hey @diaxy23, I like your plan. I'm a numbers girl too. You crunch your numbers, cut out the mind games, make a plan, follow the plan and bam! GOAL! You got this.

That being said, (I'm out of my hula hoop, here) your pic does not show the face of a girl who needs to lose 27 pounds. Make a plan, but make a good plan. Suerte.

You haven't seen my belly, it surely looks like a 27 lbs extra luggage

I see what you're trying to do, but it's kinda pointless if you eat too much.

I won't, I'll stick to my calorie deficit. Even when I'm overeating, MFP still predicts a 3-4 pounds loss in 5 weeks.
