Hi, I've been 'messing' around on here for years but something seems to have clicked for me this time and I'm losing weight quite steadily. Big losses to start as I think the healthy food and increased water was a shock to the system.

My macros are currently carbs 50 protein 20 and fat 30. MFP set these. The carbs seems quite high - I don't know much about nutrition etc.
I exercise quite a lot at the moment as I'm training for sporting events.

Just looking for some guidance off of more experienced people than me as to whether I need to alter the macros?

Thanks.

If that macro balance is working for you, there's no need to change it. MFP has that as the default for a reason. ;) It falls nicely within the Acceptable Macronutrient Distribution Ranges.

If you want to play around with the percentages, you can do that too. Some like a bit more protein, such as the Zone diet macros of 40c-30p-30f.

I would alter 50 protein 30 fat and 20 carb and work out regularly at least 3 x per week with some resistance training esp weights. I have found this to be most effectivw
