I just add seasoning to plain greek yogurt. I bought a big container of ranch dressing seasoning (not the dressing itself) and it tastes really good with the greek yogurt. I honestly don't have veggie sticks and dip often because it's not a very filling snack. I could have that and still want another snack five minutes later. I'd rather have a nice wedge of cheese that is smaller but actually holds me over. I use the greek yogurt trick to make dressing for salads though and it is really good.

Another option is to make some Greek tzatziki sauce using greek yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, herbs and a few other things. Basically things based in greek yogurt are going to be tasty, high protein and low calorie.

If I decide I do want to "splurge" and have a mayo based dip or dressing, I use my emulsion blender and make the mayo by hand so I can control what goes into it.

Adding stuff to natural yoghurt is good... I sometimes buy the chobani dip range too. When I have dip/sticks it's generally a substantial amount with hard boiled eggs and baked chicken breast strips or meatballs.

For dressings I have been smashing avo and mixing with enough ACV to make it possible to smush through my salad... I prefer that to olive oil as it adds some substance to the meal. Yoghurt dressing is good too.
  • salsa! That;s one of the only dips I like, and it's pretty good nutritional wise. And one of my favorite salads is to do loads of leafy greens, chicken, dollop some salsa on, and then add some croutons (I normally just crumble up some dark rye ryvita as a healthier alternative to fried croutons)

I love hummus, too! When I'm making a hearty salad (one of my go-to lunches is to take 1/2 cup of corn, 1 sliced veggie dog, loads of raw veggies, pickles, and pickled hot peppers), I like to mix 1/4 cup of salsa with 1 tbsp vegan sour cream and 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish.

Add no salt seasoning to either 0% or 2% plain greek yogurt. Even going with 5% Plain greek yogurt isn't too bad calorie wise and super creamy!

    or Renee's blue cheese dressing.
