Fell back onto old habits this morning

This morning, my mindset did a 180, and I ended up being my "old self" for about 3 hours. I was thinking and acting the way I used to--counterproductive thoughts and behavior that won't get me where I want to go. I just snapped out of it now.
Anyone else ever had this happen? How did you deal with it so it didn't happen again, or at least happened less often as time went on?
