Looking to Add Friends - My Story Below :)

Hey there gang! Sorry in advance for long post
I've been off and on with MFP for a while. Even after going to the doctor and always getting "the talk". You know that talk where they go over the chart and tell you that you're overweight, obese, you need to lose weight...yada yada yada. I got my bloodwork back and my liver enzymes were all wonky. Normal is 10-30 mines was 163.....so I take it that's bad right? When they weighed me it struck me like a bus. I was back up to the heaviest I'd ever been - 279. I was one pound away from my all time heaviest. New doctor is very lovely and very nice and told me to try to lose some weight before I came back for my followup. I told her I would work on it and be back in a month. I was good for about a week and then went back to old habits.
A week later my long time boyfriend went into DKA (diabetic ketoacidous). He was in the ICU for three days. He's been diabetic for years and has always maintained it well. He's Type 1 and just got unlucky in the genetic lottery. When we moved into our own house we got lazy when we didn't want to cook and would just throw in one of those $1 pizzas. We were broke and lazy and those seem to do the trick.
So when he got his blood work in the hospital his A1C was 12.9! I wasn't concerned about my own health - but when it came to his health I wanted to change things in our house.
So we started eating healthier. Nothing that was frozen in a box. We were picking up more veggies, fruits, and protein. Occasionally, we'll do pasta now and then for when we need to do something cheap but it's filled with a variety of veggies to help pack some nutrients in it.
For Christmas we got an air fryer from my grandma...OMG it's the best invention ever! Seriously, go invest in one. It makes cooking fast, easy clean up, and it's soo good. We have what we call buffalo wild wings night at the house. Air fried drumbsticks with hot sauce with carrots as a side. Very yummy!
January we both went back to the doctor for a followup. My cholesterol was normal and my liver enzyme test dropped over 50 points in a month (which I only really changed my diet for two weeks before I got my blood work done)!
He got into see an endocrinologist and they tested his A1C only a month later. The P.A. was confused why the doctor wanted to test one month later because she didn't think it would have improved much since A1C is an average of three months. Tyler tracks his blood sugars in an app and how much insulin he uses and gave all the paperwork to the doctor. The doctor told her to test it because she would probably be surprised. Sure enough within ONE MONTH his A1C was 7.7! That's crazy! Granted he doesn't need to lose any weight - he just needs to maintain and watch his sugar.
The problems is I tend to lose momentum. I'm trying to keep it up, but sometimes I find it difficult to keep the motivation. I weighed in this morning at 267.4 so I've lost some weight. But it's just a very slow progress. My goal is to go from 279 to 180 and see how I feel there. That's almost 100 lbs to lose!
So looking to add friends for support and motivation. Would love to have some people who may be close to my age (22) and have over 100 lbs to lose. But would love to add friends regardless!

I can totally relate! I'm a big Evernote person and keep WL goals and inspirational sayings in a note. Wanted to throw a little inspiration your way from my note, and wishing you huge success:
Small daily improvements are the key to staggering long term results.
"Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use." - Earl Nightingale
A year from now you will wish you had started today.
Don't sacrifice what you want for what you want right now.
Winners do what they have to do, losers do what they want.
The pleasure of eating and drinking lasts a few moments, the pleasure of being at goal weight lasts a lifetime.1 -
