Stop putting in the wrong information in the system!!!! Do you not want to be held accountable for your calories? I wish we could go in and correct the mistakes that are made by people who half heartedly put the calories, nutrition, and portion sizes in. I know this is an ongoing problem but gahhhhhhhh it's so annoying when you don't have the package in front of you and you really need the correct info.
Ok rant over now that I feel better.....
How about you post your rant just to vent? We don't have to even reply, just rant away and get it all out.
INCORRECT INFO that's 30 calories off!!!

The same product in different countries/locations can be sold in different portions or even with different recipes that can change the info. When I put stuff into the database I always mark it as "(Canada)". I don't usually make it available to others but that's besides the point. The info isn't necessarily wrong. That being said, there are a lot of wrong entries too.

I weigh it and look for item in the db that has an entry for grams. If there isn't one create my own private entry.

This is from scanning the barcode mostly too. 98% of the time it's wrong.

I think I have used the barcode twice in two years... I guess that's why I don't have many complaints..lol

I actually had to use a Canada one the other day for it to be accurate. Go figure.

this is super annoying! and part of the reason i dont really use the database and just manually enter calories

I would do that too but I like to refer back to days when I want to see what I've eaten that has caused me to not lose as much or whatever.

I found regular, plain old semi-skimmed milk the other day that had 0% calcium! I mean how hard is it to check...?

Sometimes I'll select the whole wrong brand if the calories are right. I don't care about macros so it doesn't throw me off when I do that.

I entered Lulu burger, patty only, into the database. Thats the only one I've done. And I did it today. Feel free to let me know if I'm wrong in any way.
Edit: 4 oz total. 2oz ground beef, 2oz ground lamb, parsley & white onion. Those were selected from the usda counts from the mfp database originally.

What I'm talking about is scanning your food and it comes up wrong in the MFP data base. The pictures I posted are of what came up when I scanned the package (second picture).

And also, you're supposed to be ranting with me lol! Ranting about anything and everything! :D

My rant of the day is about pickles.
Lots of people putting in dill pickles as zero calories in the database no matter the size. They are low calorie but not zero calorie. A whole big pickle can be about 20 calories.
It was just irritating today to sift through the pickle entries.

I agree! I drink pickle juice for energy and have used the "0" calories for that though.
