Anybody else calculate their TDEE from real data?

Options
I was just wondering if anyone else uses the data they enter here on MFP (food diaries and weight check-ins) to calculate what their actual TDEE is? I've done it few times and it is normally pretty close to Scooby's numbers but I know that what I calculate is reality because I log everything, whereas Scooby is more generalized.

Anyone else check their TDEE this way?

I track my TDEE in a spread sheet and work out my net calories.

Then I use that calorie in/out data for a series of formulas to work out daily and weekly averages as well as projected weight change versus actual weight change.

At the moment there is a divergence between actual weight lost and projected weight. Partly due to being conservative with my estimates of calories burned in my commuting to work but also it appears my BMR is higher than the online calculators state.

I've found it really useful to find the exact calories I need to either lose or maintain. I follow 5:2 fasting and also have a high but varied calorie burn so TDEE minus a cut wouldn't work for me.
