Vegan Marathon Foods

I need some good, easy-to-swallow, on-the-literal-run vegan foods for my marathon training.
I don't want to chew it.
I don't want to unwrap it.
It needs to be small and soft, preferably mushy.
I have been thinking about trying my own homemade date paste I can squeeze out, or maybe applesauce. Oh, and it can't be savory. I don't want to puke, too.
Speaking of which, it can't have grapes or raisins in it, because those pass right through me, and I won't need the extra push to make my run any crappier.

What about peanut butter with agave or other sweetener?

Have you tried Energy Gels? This is exactly what they were designed for. You can get vegan ones.2

If you don't want to use Gu (most flavors are vegan), I've had good luck with dried apricots (which may cause issues for you if raisins do) or date paste. But the date paste can get pretty messy. I would freeze it prior to my runs in plastic wrap and unwrap it on the go, but it seemed like a lot of effort for something that was pretty much the same thing as Gu, nutritionally.0

I know it sounds odd and unconventional, but I made a huge batch of these oatmeal lace cookies prior to one of my marathons and they were so light and tasty that I ended up using them for fuel during the race. Skip the chocolate part and just eat one wafer of the cookie at a time. I am sure you could substitute coconut oil for the butter and use soy or almond milk. Adding extra honey will make them even softer and provide additional sugars for fuel.

I also like dried fruit pieces like pineapple. But there is going to be some chewing involved with both of these.
Other than that, I think finding something that you don't have to chew or unwrap is going to be a tough call. there are some recipes for homemade energy gels and bites on the internet. Maybe you can look around and find one you like.1 -
The (original) book Thrive has recipes for some things like this. There is one that is dates, coconut oil, and cocoa powder that I've used in similar situations. Normally you'd wrap them, but I think you could roll them in coconut or something and store them together. Date paste and peanut butter also works, although if you don't want to wrap it you'll need to roll it in something.0
