So I am usually over my protein count by a little every day(anywhere from 10 gr to 20gr) but usually get my calorie count right. Is this a big deal? I wouldnt think so but just wanted opinions.

have you adjusted MFP's protein count from 15%?

if not, i wouldn't worry about it at all.

For weight loss macro ratios don't really matter-it's all about the calories :)

Not a big deal. As long as you're accurately counting your calories, you will lose weight if you're in a deficit. A calorie deficit is what is required for weight loss. Macro goals are individual.

    No problem.
  • is your protein still at 15%, the amount MFP automatically sets to? a lot of people move this up so it's perfectly fine to eat more, personally I set mine to 30-40% protein, just do what you prefer

You have to remember that the food database isn't totally accurate so macros and calories may not match up perfectly.

Not only is this not a problem but I would say it is actually good.

I thought that the default was 20% protien. Either way, it is not a problem to be over your protien. I agree with @chadxx. I consider it a good day if I go over my protien.

Same here I love going over my protein goal.Much better than to much carbs. Don't worry just building muscle.

    I agree.

Mfp's protein goal is far too low IMO. I have my protein set at 30%, i try and get at least that and if i go over, it's a good day.

No...it's probably a good thing if your macros are set to MFP defaults.
