Weighing Correctly?

I started my calorie surplus almost 2 months ago. I started at around 169-170, and at first I was weighing myself once a week. But then I read somewhere to try to get the average of the week, so weighing yourself at the same time everyday, then averaging it out. Which makes sense because some days I weigh 171 and other days I weigh 174. I always weigh myself in the morning after using the restroom. Anyway, so I'm curious if this is correct? It's exciting to see the scale finally showing higher numbers, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

I weigh and track every day so I can see the trend easier, which is tougher to do with only 4 data points in a month.1

I too weigh every morning and track a rolling 7-day average.1

it does not matter as long as the trend is up....weigh once a day at the same time; or weight daily and take a seven day average....0

Well it's definitely going up, so I guess I'm good!0
