Feeling inspired!

It's a bit of a cliche to start your health and fitness goals on January 1st, as I did, but better to make a change then than never, right?
I have faithfully recorded my meals every day since January 1st, and on Jan. 30th I completed 30 Days of Yoga. I have lost ten pounds and notice a difference particularly in my hips and waist. My winter coat fits better, and a pair of new pajamas I received at Christmastime that were formerly too snug around the hips fit now.
I feel stronger and more limber. I am sleeping well at night. I have been trying to make healthier choices with my meals, but I still have the odd glass of wine or treat in a week. I don't feel deprived at all.
Today a started a 90-day Yoga Challenge and I am feeling my momentum continuing!
Most of all I notice a peace and calmness in my thoughts about fitness and weight loss. I didn't realize how present that inner voice nagging was, telling me that I could (and should) do more for myself.
I am turning 40 this year and I want to enter my fourth decade feeling terrific and moving onward and upward!
Some positive thoughts I've had after one month:
- After I started paying more attention, I realized that it wasn't JUST too many treats that I was eating - but also too much "healthy" stuff and just too many calories in things like salad dressing and ketchup. Being more aware of those things hasn't been a hardship.
- Despite having a fair bit of weight to lose (I'd like to lose 60 pounds), my health is good and I don't have anything holding me back. I can go anywhere I want to from here! Other people begin, and succeed, with greater obstacles. I can do this.
- I like healthy foods. I like to cook, and I already cook a lot for my family.
Thank you for reading my first post here.
