for those of you with a fitbit, do you let the steps you take in a day stand as exercise on MFP? Meaning, if i do work out, should i *also* log the exercise on MFP? If i don't, i feel like MFP thinks i didn't reach my workout goals for the week.
thanks for your help!

Hi, I just let mine log the steps. MFP gives an adjustment based on activity level and I also have negative adjustment on. I still put a status update in to 'log' the workout but that's it. If you sync them and enter the workoutnin MFP you run the risk of double-counting.

Add me on MFP and Fitbit if you like! :-)

If I am purposefully exercising, I log it on MFP. I have the charge HR and add the calories burned. You just need to make sure that you log the time so there is no double counting.

I log my food on MFP and my exercise on Fitbit. Fitbit carries over any adjustments to my MFP calorie goal. So my steps and my purposeful exercise is all bundled up into 'exercise calories' on MFP.

My POV: It's irrelevant if MFP "thinks" I met my exercise goals. If I know I met them, that's sufficient. That's why I let Fitbit track all the exercise.
