Body Fat & Weight Question

Thought I would ask to see if anyone might be able to help me find information an learn exactly why when, according to my scale, my body fat percentage goes down, my weight always goes up by at least a pound. It never fails. I've searched online but just cannot find an answer as to why this happens (and if this is normal to happen).
Thanks!
Thanks!

It's probably due to water retention. You've gained a lb or more of water so the bodyfat % is less. Scales use bioimpedence monitoring which is not a reliable technology. The handheld monitors also use this method and are not reliable. The most reliable methods are hyrdotank, DEXA scan, bodpod, and calipers when used by an trained and experienced person.0
