When logging my food, I succeed in reaching about the recommended amounts of carbs/fat/protein.
But I only reach about half the amount of sodium (probably because I seldom use processed food).
Therefore I guess that the amount of sodium is not the recommended daily intake, but the maximum daily intake. Am I right?

The sodium amount is the upper limit. You shouldn't be trying to reach the sodium goal, you should be trying to stay as far under as possible. Too much sodium will cause water retention. Be sure to try to exceed your protein goal everyday though.0
