So a friend of mine is starting her 21 Day Fix again and convinced me to join her. Anyone have any success with it? I'm not sure how it all works. Do you fit the foods into the coordinating containers and use that to cook with? Any help or tips is appreciated, thank you.

Like any other tool, it will work if you use it properly. It's about portion control, just like MFP is about portion control, and you control your portions by fitting your food into color coded containers instead of weighing it. You will have success if you eat the right amount of calories and macro and micro nutrients, and food you enjoy. Some people find that the system makes them eat too little, others find ways to "cheat", some are very happy with it; some people like the guidance, others find the system to be too many boxes to wash, or the food choices restrictive.

All that is up to preference. But buying the system and using Shakelogy is a objectively a ripoff.

"Starting again" would be a cue to a program's effectiveness.

The only fix that genuinely works is a lifetime fix. A 21 day fix only works for 21 days. If you're looking for help or tips here's a couple.

    1. Use MFP tools to calculate your daily calorie burn, create the appropriate deficit, and then count your calories.
    2. End of tips.

Well I did it and I lost weight but it has to last longer than 21days... your lifestyle has to change. So I tell you what you get with the 21 Day Fix...
-the containers and the informational guide ( you put already cooked food and snacks in them to portion how much to eat of that food group)
-Access to the website with the workouts
    -a cook book
    -a thing of shakeology

If you think all those things will help, then go for it but I will tell you this... you don't need that plan to be successful. Keep in mind it's pretty pricey, but you can get those containers on Amazon for cheap (they are really useful) and you can either go on body builder and get a free workout plan or sign up for an online workout program or join a gym. Shakeology is really good but after the 21 days you'll be buying it for a $100.00/ mo when there's a lot of really good clean protein shakes out there for way less. In my opinion it's not worth the money at the end of the day.

Portioning your food, eating clean and exercising can be done without hurting the piggy bank and you will get results!

I was bought this for Christmas but had to send it back as a DVD wouldn't play. The containers are useful, but as a PP said you can buy these cheap on Amazon. The free app is good for tracking containers though. I might use the container system for maintaining on work days. I agree it's overpriced and I am a beachbody fan.

I know one person in real life who bought it, she's still really overweight. Don't think she even made it to day 21 :p

I had great success with the 21 Day Fix. I lost 28lbs and 22 inches all around after 2 rounds. If you follow the program, I feel it works. Also, it taught me a ton about proper portion sizes and that I needed more fruits and veggies. That was a year ago. I've gain back 10 lbs on my own not eating right and not exercising. But I start the 21 day fix back up tomorrow in prep for training for a triathlon.
