Sore Shoulders - Normal?

I was jogging on the treadmill yesterday. I went 5mph in 0.75 mi spurts for 1.5 mi. I did no other workouts but my shoulders are killing me! Especially that muscle that connects my neck to my shoulders. Is this normal or did I do something wrong? It kinda sucks.

you must have been tensing your shoulders and upper back when you were running. I would recommend maybe some heat and/or light stretches. If you don't know any shoulder/upper back stretches you may want to look some up. I think they would feel great!

yep, tensing up as you run... make a conscious effort to drop your shoulders and keep them loose, slow down so you're not breathing hard, and roll them if you feel them tensing up.
