I'm a Newbie -- Hello Everyone

I'm been with myfitnesspal.com for a couple of years now and I am just beginning to take my diet and fitness goals seriously. I'm finally ready to focus on the plan and, by virtue of being here, my stats. Logging my foods has now become routine and I can keep up with the logging because I am so serious this time.
I'm just checking out the message boards today for the first time and I just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully I will find some pals with similar goals.
I'm a low carber with a 1200/day calorie goal and I was wondering if anyone else prefers low carb dieting. I found out that not eating wheat makes it easier for me lose weight and because I'm so serious this time, and I want to finally reach my goals, I'm beginning with low carb for about 2 months. I happen to love carbs, they just don't love me.
My goal is to lose 30 pounds as soon as possible.

Hi Beverly,
I too have to stay with a low carb plan even though I love carbs. I gained 25lbs and started to have blood sugar level issues. Cutting back on the carbs and sugar has been helping a lot. I really started focusing on this recently and have dropped 6lbs so far. The tracking on MFP is a huge help in keeping everything straight.0 -
Yep. I've probably lost a couple lbs even though my ticker doesn't show it because I started logging a few days after starting my 1200 calorie count. The log keeps it real and I have vowed to keep it totally honest and when I do, it really tells me how much I have to watch it. At first, I hated it but now I'm with the program.0

Feel free to add me! I've been doing low carbs with a 1200 cal a day. My diary is always open and I'm always on here! I know my ticker says i lost 13 pounds but I lost 18 pounds total. Lost 5 before I started MFP. Great site!0
