My annoyances have changed (in a good way).

I used to be really annoyed when I wore a size 24 that there weren't too many clothes in my size, at least very few cute clothes. Now when I go to those same stores, I get annoyed because there aren't too many clothes in my size (10), and a lot of the cute clothes are way too big for me now. My husband says that since America's getting bigger, most of the clothes are too. Well, that annoys me since I'm doing the opposite. :grumble:

Seriously? Where do you live because here there is NO selection of plus size anything! Especially when you are short!
(I do understand it is frustrating to not be able to find clothes... I have always had trouble, even when I was at a healthy weight, because of my body shape and being short)
Good problem to have.Maybe try some different stores?

One is Fashion Bug. I went to a store today, and they had the BOGOF sale. I had a hard time finding anything less than a size 16.0

I have also always had an issue finding cute clothes, even when I was thin, because I'm so darn short. Jackets hit me too low, capris are like highwater pants, shirts look like they are a minidress etc. It's annoying as heck and now that I'm heavier and short...the selection is even smaller! Do they not make cute petite clothing??
Back when I was very thin I used to shop the juniors section and I was still 'in style' but even If I got that thin again (unlikely) I couldn't do that now because most of the juniors clothing looks like something that belongs on a hooker.
Don't think I'll ever win, haha.0 -
Fashion Bug is not a good choice for smaller sizes because they cater to size 12 or 14 on up in misses sizes, and lots of plus size things too. I would recommend JC Penney. They have a good selection of misses and juniors and PETITES, which I think would help the one poster who mentioned being short.
I am out of the plus sized department after many years and though I will occasionally see something there that I might wish would fit, I have no trouble finding things in misses. Depending on the style and brand, I am a 16, 14, or 12. Good luck, everyone. Another factor with sizing is that sizes are not what they were even 10 years ago. There have been several threads about that on here recently. If you search the threads using "vanity sizing" you should find at least one from the last few days.0
