I'm on a 1200 calorie diet on MyFitnessPal but on Fitbit some days it tells me to eat 12 2000 calories which one should I go by and should I be eating more calories when it says that I exercise

Would you be willing to give us some clues? Having your stats might help (age, weight, height, activity level). Otherwise we're just guessing at how each is setup and what might be better for you.1

My fitness pal is not as detailed in the information they use to determine your cals as some other tools so that may be why. MFP put me on 1200 also but when I went into detail to determine what would be correct I found 1290 was the lowest recommended for my statistics. If I were you I would dig into it a little further and decide what you think is best.0

MFP seems to default to 1200 for women; but you need to look at your weight loss goal and see if its aggressive (2lbs a week seems to be goal for the 1200cal women); but MFP is based on the idea of eating a portion of your exercise calories back0

1200 is a default and an aggressive weekly weight loss goal gives you a low number. My Fitness Pal also gives you a goal before exercise. Your Fit Bit is accounting for exercise, but you need to make sure your settings are correct.
Check the FitBit group for info on your model: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users0 -
MFP is net calories. The 1200 will go up if you log exercise in MFP (or set it to pull your exercise activities from Fitbit).0
