The Cookie Tin...

So we have a cookie tin at work. It's made of all kinds of evil when you're trying to lose weight.

It used to be in clear view of my desk, so I moved it away. Now I can hear it every time someone opens it, and it drives me crazy. I see people re-filling the tin with all sorts of delicious things. It seems like no matter how much I try to block it out of my mind, it's always there and I usually end up grabbing a few over the course of my day.

I've tried bringing healthier snacks to work, but nothing is as satisfying as a cookie. I find myself grabbing cookies whenever I feel bored or stressed. When I eat one, I usually feel better afterwards. But then all the cookies I've eaten have accumulated over my week and then ta-da! Zero weight loss.

My question is: how do you do it? It's the major thing that is derailing my success (yes, 100 calories in cookies is a LOT to me as my calorie goal is only 1350), and it's taking away from calories that I could eat from healthy things.

Thanks for your input!
