Breakfast vs late/no breakfast?

Wondering if anyone is up on the latest research/science behind the breakfast debate? I naturally wake up not hungry, unless I've had a super light dinner so have lately been having 2 meals per day so breakfast/lunch at 11.30ish, a snack and then dinner at 7pm. I've found it really easy to stick to my calories doing it this way, but will it slow my metabolism down? I realise it's all just CICO, but surely there's a tiny bit more to it in terms of effective weight loss? We have had the importance of breakfast drummed into us from an early age, so just curious if anyone has any thoughts on this?

Meal timing is largely irrelevant. There will be people who would benefit from eating breakfast due to medical reasons, but if you go fine without, and it's helping you stick to your goal, do that!

Thanks guys, all good points. @bbell1985 I'm even more inclined to take your advice after looking at your profile pic...if not eating breakfast results in you looking that good then I'm on board!!! ;)

I need to eat breakfast ,especially on days I am working - otherwise feel faint and nauseous by mid morning.

This is entirely just my conclusion for my study N=1 though - may or may not apply to anyone else.

My days are much easier too on days when I don't eat breakfast. I'm usually hungry in the morning sadly, but I try to delay it as much as possible.

Deficit and heavy lifting did that. When I have a bigger calorie allowance I might have a protein bar for breakfast. I just can't right now.

I'm a big breakfast girl--big in bulk, not in calories. A 250 cal one-egg omelette with about 300 g of veggies and a press pot of coffee at about 7 am keeps me filled up until late lunch at about 1:30.

I do 16:8IF as part of my maintenance plan and my eating window is from 11am-7pm. Meal timing/frequency is a preference thing, what matters is that you're hitting your calorie targets.
